Transportation Modes
WBG offers a wide range of logistics services to meet your diverse needs.
WBG’s primary focus in 2023!
What does Concierge or white glove delivery mean? No delays. Concierge delivery deals with more expensive and fragile goods than a regular courier. Goods that are more prone to theft and damage and can't be left somewhere unsecure for the recipient to pick up later. This means delays are out of the question. Example: Pharmaceuticals shipments, products that require high insurance, shipments requiring teams instead of single drivers.
Intermodal transportation is a flexible and cost-effective solution for logistics companies looking to move goods efficiently. This method of transportation combines multiple modes of transportation, such as trucking, rail, and shipping, to transport cargo from point A to point B. By utilizing multiple modes of transportation, intermodal transportation is ideal for companies looking to transport large quantities of goods over long distances, as well as for those looking for a more sustainable transportation option.
A dry van is any truck trailer that is enclosed and protected from the elements—think of your typical semi-truck or 'box' truck with a door on the back. Although the cargo is protected from rain (hence the “dry” van), it is not temperature-controlled.
Bulk freight are commodities not packed but loaded directly into a vessel. Such goods are grains, petroleum products, iron ore and more. These types of goods are referred to as bulk cargo.
Less than truckload (LTL) freight refers to the transportation of products or goods that do not require a full truckload. These smaller freight loads typically result in many separate shipments being transported on one truck.
Reefer freight refers to refrigerated and temperature-controlled freight movements and equipment used to transport perishables or other temp-controlled freight. All freight modes, meaning FTL, LTL, intermodal, rail, ocean and air have reefer freight services available.
A flatbed is a trailer with a flattened hauling platform, and most can be loaded from the top, sides, and rear. They come in several different styles with various features to handle everything from building materials and industrial equipment to aircrafts parts and mobile homes.
